Silent switch

This was a quick small project carried out in 2008. LAN parties was a big thing back then, and hence we needed a proper switch to connect all the computers. We got hold of a nice 24-port 100 Mbit/s switch, however, being intended for rack mounting in a server room it made an insane amount of noise. This was mended with a quick fix, the two 40 mm rear fans were coupled serially and rotated so both drew ambient air into the chassis. In addition, a hole was cut in the top of the switch where a low-noise 80 mm fan was mounted.
